Blood of the Innocent Is Now Available

A little over two months ago, I wrote that I was finally ready to open the case files.

Now they’re open.

Blood of the Innocent, the first book in the Eternal Legacies series, is officially available on Amazon.

After spending so long seeing the words Coming Soon attached to this project, changing the website to Now Available felt a little surreal.

But it’s real now.

The book is out in the world.

The First Case Begins

Blood of the Innocent follows homicide detective Dorian Blake as he investigates the brutal murder of a family near the Rosewood Zoo.

At first, the evidence suggests an animal attack.

Then the details stop making sense.

The wounds don’t match any known animal. There isn’t enough blood at the scene. The only survivor, eight-year-old Lucas Barnes, insists that what attacked his family wasn’t human.

And then two strangers enter Dorian’s investigation.

One is an angel.

The other is a demon.

Neither is telling him the whole truth.

What begins as a homicide case soon pulls Dorian into a hidden world of vampires, supernatural politics, buried memories, and secrets that may be connected to his own past.

What Kind of Book Is It?

At its core, Blood of the Innocent is a dark urban fantasy mystery.

It blends:

Supernatural Mystery • Police Procedural • Horror • Slow-Burn M/M Romance

The investigation is very much at the heart of the story. Dorian approaches the impossible the same way he approaches any homicide—with evidence, interviews, forensics, surveillance, and a stubborn refusal to stop asking questions when something doesn’t add up.

The supernatural elements gradually become harder to ignore.

And yes, the romance is part of the story too.

The relationship between Dorian, Gabriel, and Rafe develops slowly across the series, beginning with attraction, tension, complicated loyalties, and a lot of emotional baggage.

Book One is only the beginning.

This Case Is Only the Beginning

Eternal Legacies is designed as a larger series rather than a single standalone story.

Each book will bring a new supernatural threat or investigation while the larger mysteries surrounding Dorian, Gabriel, Rafe, and the hidden world continue to unfold.

Vampires are only the start.

There are werewolves, witches, fae, angels, demons, ancient bloodlines, old rivalries, and far too many secrets waiting beneath the surface.

The individual cases may end.

The larger mystery won’t.

Seeing It Out in the World

I’ve spent so much time writing, revising, formatting, creating artwork, building the website, and second-guessing every possible detail that seeing the actual Amazon listing feels strangely unreal.

There it is.

The cover.

The description.

The sample.

The A+ content.

A button that says Buy Now.

After two years, it isn’t just a project sitting on my computer anymore.

People can actually read it.

That part is exciting.

It’s also mildly terrifying.

But mostly exciting.

The Case Files Are Open

I don’t know yet how readers will respond.

I hope they connect with Dorian.

I hope Gabriel and Rafe intrigue them.

I hope Lucas breaks their hearts a little.

And most of all, I hope Rosewood feels like a place they want to come back to.

This is only the first case.
